If this random photo that was just tagged of me on facebook is any indication, this past weekend was awesome. This weekend was for BBQ and a Saturday Brunch Date which turned into drinking games outside and migrating from the far E. Village to the West Side Highway to the Upper East Side and ended up lasting until past midnight. (An epic brunch if I do say so myself). This weekend included a wonderful Sunday with Christian who has the luxury of “real” weekends for the (brief) time being. This weekend had beautiful weather both days and was for working on my tan and falling asleep reclining on my rooftop at dusk and waking up to the smell of grilled food. This weekend had both the excitement of laughing with new friends and the excitement of laughing with the one you love while feeling like it’s new love (the best feeling) as you do silly things like splash in the fountain in Washington Square Park to cool off. This weekend ended with me taking Parker for a long walk along Museum Mile, admiring the mansions and townhouses and trees in Central Park in full bloom in the peak of Summer and having the cool yet warm breeze blow by while I thought to myself “I would actually miss New York if I ever left.” And with that I knew I was content and truly happy.
